The Dsls Licgen Ssq.exe -l post is an informative post with factual information about what you will learn by reading it. You will learn how to install the Windows Server 2008 R2 DVD using an OEM or retail version of Windows Vista or Windows 7. If you are installing a limited-use verson of Vista, please read the "OEM Limitations" section before proceeding with installation steps. The limited-use version can be used for 90 days without having to activate it via the Internet or telephone, but if over 90 days are exceeded then activation is required. If the 90-day activation window is exceeded then you will have to pay an activation fee of $50. This version is designed for use with a single computer, but can be taken on a network drive by another computer or used to perform repairs on another computer. If another version of Vista or Win7 is installed under the limited-use version, it cannot be activated at this time. The installation software will prompt you to provide the Administrator password if it has not already been provided by an administrator during installation. You might need to back up all files before proceeding with the installation procedure. About 30 minutes are required for the DVD installation process, but could take up to 45 minutes depending on device driver updates that are required before beginning the install procedure. Once the installation is completed you may be prompted for a restart. If no prompt appears and you wish to restart, use the reboot command from the command prompt.
